Clubs & Activities Descriptions 2021-22 School Year

Programs, activities, and student clubs are available to all persons without regard to actual or perceived age, ancestry, color, disability, ethnicity, gender, gender identity, gender expression, immigration status, nationality, race, religion, sex, sexual orientation, or association with a person or group with one or more of these actual or perceived characteristics.

Academic Decathlon:
An annual competition with schools all over Stanislaus County, Academic Decathlon is a two-day series of tests, speeches and interviews based on material that team members study all year long, culminating in the “Super Quiz”. Academic Decathlon is an opportunity to push your academic growth and represent Beyer to the community.

Calculus Club:
Our purpose is to apply calculus theories to real life situations and assist anyone taking calculus.

Craft Club:
Purpose is for Beyer students to congregate and express their creative ideas through art or crafts like sewing, crochet, knitting etc.

CSF:
Recognize students’ academic achievement.

Dance Production:
Brings advanced dance students together to celebrate dance at Beyer through activities, performances, fundraisers and field trips.

Drama Club:
Provides students opportunities to explore and experience theatrical arts.

Environmental Club:
Promotes a cleaner and greener campus and environment through recycling, cleanup and fundraising.

Future Farmers of America (FFA):
The primary purpose is for students enrolled in the agriculture education program at Beyer to develop agriculture leadership, cooperation and citizenship within the community.

Genders and Sexualities Alliance (GSA):
Creates a strong campus community that celebrates diversity and empowers LGBTQ2+ students.

Interact Club:
Our purpose is to promote community service while working with the local Rotary Club.

Key Club:
Our purpose is to teach leadership through service to others by working within our school and community.

Mock Trial:
An annual competition that requires students to demonstrate acquired listening, speaking, reading, and reasoning skills. Working in teams, students study a hypothetical court case, conduct legal research and conclude with competitions with other teams in courtroom setting.

Paradigm Dance Project:
Seeks to shift the paradigm of dance as most people see it, by teaming general education students with students with physical, mental and emotional challenges to dance, empowering and benefitting the mind, body and spirit of each dancer. We believe everyone can dance.

Patriots for Christ:
This club exists to share Christ’s love to the students and staff of Beyer High School, being a place of encouragement, fellowship, and worship. Also, seeks to be a positive group of students who put caring into practice on our campus.

Protect Health and Slam Tobacco (PHAST):
Educate the public about the harms and dangers of tobacco use by providing assemblies, rallies and informative presentations, coordinating campus activities, and participating in community programs.

Physics Club:
Explores the laws and concepts of physics in a lab scenario and applies them to real world projects.

Pura Vida:
Our purpose is to promote Autism awareness, develop friendships, and to provide social gatherings to improve social skills. The club is open to anyone that is willing to help others.

Red Sea:
The purpose is to promote school spirit through attendance at school events (and cheering LOUDLY).

Science Olympiad:
An annual competition consisting of individual and team events that encourage learning in biology, earth science, chemistry, physics, problem solving and technology. Some events require knowledge of scientific facts and concepts, while others rely on scientific processes, skills or application.

Speech and Debate Club:
The purpose is to promote student participation in speech tournaments. Increase awareness of speech, debate and to increase participation and education amongst Beyer students.

Yearbook:
Creating, advertising, and selling the yearbook.

Freshman Class of 2025:
Promote School spirit and awareness of school activities. Members will increase their skills and abilities to work on group communications, planning, goal setting, and digital mindfulness.

Sophomore Class of 2024:
Promote School spirit and awareness of school activities. Members will increase their skills and abilities to work on group communications, planning, goal setting, and digital mindfulness.

Junior Class of 2023:
Promote School spirit and awareness of school activities. Members will increase their skills and abilities to work on group communications, planning, goal setting, and digital mindfulness.

Senior Class of 2022:
Promote School spirit and awareness of school activities. Members will increase their skills and abilities to work on group communications, planning, goal setting, and digital mindfulness.
